I've used a cool Flash tool called Indy Junior to render a clickable map of my travels this year. Indy Junior was developed by Bryan Boyer based on similar map done by my friend Joshua Davis. Requires Flash.

Aspen in July?! You should be coming to Iowa for Pirillo's conference! One word. Lumberyard. Ask Gnome-Girl about it ;-) And it looks like Portland has moved over to the East Coast. This might be troubling to the people that live there.

Lumberyard? Do you have to take your clothes off?

Portland, Maine to go to Camden. You should come to POP!Tech this year Jason.

Cool. This is what I thought I wanted a couple of days ago. Thanks.

I've never been to Maine. I bet it's beautiful in the Fall. I checked the POP site but there weren't many details yet. We'll have to see where fortune takes me by October. I'd love to go though.

It is TOTALLY beautiful. Lots of lobster and one of the best bunch of people I've met at a conference. Let's go man.

Is PopTech that valuable? I've always read it, and know that interesting people go and that there are participants I'd love to interact with, but I've never been able to discern how much intrinsic value the conference itself had.

What are you coming to D.C. for in July?

Well... POP!Tech was... fun. And cool. Small 100+

DC is for Supernova 2003.

I can attest to Maine and POPTech. Only one problem - money honey. Same thing with Iowa - and D.C.

As long as conferences are in the Bay Area and free - I'm there. Everything else - well let's just hope Ross shows up (with Pete in virtual tow) and that Brian Smiga is there too.

Here's to more conferences in DC!

I know it's not the Valley or some other place cool, but it is an important city. And it means I don't have to pay for travel and hotels. Which means I can go.

Looking forward to seeing your presentation Joi. What exactly are you talking about? Any ideas?

Anywhere there are geeks and Lobster I'm so there. Chris got Tim O'Reilly for Gnomedex along with some other pretty big hitters so I'll be there for sure. I think that and maybe POP!Tech will take care of the convention circuit for me this year.

How about geeks and crabs? The good kind of crabs that is (Chesapeake Bay crabs). Costs a bit more in DC for good crabs, but drive east a little bit and the price drops.
