My TypePad weblog is live and thanks to design help from Mena, it "feels" like this blog, but is light and clean. Let me know what you think. I'm considering making TypePad my main blog.

I'll cross post for awhile, but lets keep the comments on this blog so I can keep them in one place until I do the final export.

"lets keep the comments on this blog"

hmm, since these words appear on your typepad weblog *and* on joiito.com I don't know which blog "this blog" is. I know, I'll post on both!

i like the new one joi - but, this blog is more distinctive visually. It doesn't look like much else i've seen in blogpsace and it sticks in your mind because of that.

your new typepad blog has much less visual impact and looks like a fair number of 'other' blogs (well, lots of them actually). Nothing really wrong with that I suppose - maybe I've just got to used to this one...

Personally - I'd rehash this one...

i like the new one! clean... my first impression is to instinctively notice all of the stuff on the sides that currently greys out. it retains much of your blog's look and feel at the same time. when oh when will type pad launch? i have been playing a bit with radio, but feel that a hosted service would be more appropriate for me.

The photo albums look especially good on typepad - what're the capabilities for captions/annotatons/text entry to accompany them, if any?

Looks slicker than your current blog.

So, when will the service be available to the common people? I need to start blogging again to prevent becoming a total outcast in certain circles. :-)

Hi Joi,

There's a Validity problem.

I don't know if it's the case for other typepad weblogs.

Some unrecognized UTF-8 characters it seems.

Also, and I'm surpised Karl didn't mention this, "switching" will cause a URL issue: unless you chnage the domain name and make sure all your stuff is trasnfered perfectly, you will break the billions of links others have made to your blog entries... :\

Mine validate without problem.

The issue is with my first name ccedila wrongly encoded in a comment on Joi Ito's blog. I redid a post and it is well encoded now.

Same opinion as Pete Barr-Watson. I like this one too much.

Clean & Cool. Much better. Continue blogging in your new blog.

Clean & Cool. Much better. Continue blogging in your NEW TypePad blog. I like it.

Typepad is:
a) cleaner
b) loads faster
c) looks nicer

Joi, the only confusing thing with your NEW blog is that the left column of your OLD is now at the bottom of your NEW blog. So I have to scroll all the time ...
