Ever since Reverend A. K. M. Adam aka AKMA started hanging out on IRC, I've started to think that #joiito is a lot like M*A*S*H, the American TV show about the people in a medical camp during the Korean War. As a Japanese who never went to Western churches, my first exposure to a chaplain was on M*A*S*H. AKMA plays a great chaplain on #joiito. ;-) Like the TV show, there is funny chatter like the doctors chatting during surgery. There are visits by guests who pop by to say hi. There are even battles waging on blogs and the wounded show up at #joiito to hang out and recharge.

Anyway, I'll stop pushing the metaphor now.

Complete with Hawkeye (me), Hotlips Houlihan (jeanniecool), a bunch of Radars... and maybe one or two closeted Klingers... ;)

Yourself seem much like Capt. B.J. Hunnicut...

I found a Which M*A*S*H character are you? quiz. We can all figure out what role we play in the group.

Surprisingly, the quiz said I was Capt. Hawkeye. I would have never thought. In fact, he would be the last person I would have thought I would be on that show. Really, he would. I don't drink or sleep around, how could I be Hawkeye?

as I said in channel, the MASH metaphor doesn't thrill me (not many good roles for women). But the overall sitcom model isn't bad -- regulars who hang around, saying things characteristic to each. Incidents, but not much change in each episode. I hope I don't turn into one of those one-joke characters! Coming today, a very special #joiito episode. Heartwarming!

Maybe we could be Friends. There is an equal number of men and women. Although, there aren't too many geeky types. How about The West Wing, Joi could be POTUS!

Just so everybody can occupy themselfs, I found a Which West Wing character are you? quiz as well as one for Friends.

For the West Wing, I am Sam Seaborn, and I didn't even try (YAY!) I'm Ross from Friends.

The Friends quiz really sucks, so be forwarned

Putting aside David Weiberger's early solipism and keeping to the M*A*S*H analogy, to my knowledge none of the M*A*S*H episodes were pornographic, nor did any of the characters advocate sodomizing children. The same cannot be said of #joiito
