Six Apart just acquired Loic's blog company, Ublog. Loic had been acting as our marketing partner in Europe, but now he's apart of Six Apart. (Mena has a good story about this.)

Andrew Anker who I met when he was running Hot Wired back in the day has also just joined Six Apart. (More about that on at Mena's Corner)

Last but not least, Barak Berkowitz who was once my boss at Infoseek, then later worked for me at Neoteny, is now taking over the role of CEO of Six Apart. (Mena's story about this)

Welcome aboard everyone. I think we're turning a new page in the development of Six Apart. I urge you to read Mena's posts for her view on all of this. I'm a proud VC today.

UPDATE: Cory on Mena's post.

Congrats! It's been very exciting to watch all these changes. Hi-fives all around.

Wow... it's getting hard to keep up with you guys ;-)

Oh yeah, congratulations on bringing Barak in, not only did he kill go.com but he utterly destroyed OmniSky and was forced out by the executive team. That guy is a self-important jerkoff. How many losers has he brought in under him already? Winnie? Steven?

Six Apart will now die a tragic death, a once great idea, about to be blown to shit by one of the more despicable losers in the valley.

Doug, Barak is doing a great job. I'm sure not every loved him at Go, but I worked for him and he was a good boss. Cut us some slack and please don't pee on my carpet.

Doug,
Barak's been working with SixApart for over a year. His appointment was the result of substantial good work, measured in results. Perhaps you have better insight into OmniSky and Go than I, but I will say that he's done quite a good job for us. Also, whatever your justifications for your criticism, the abuse inherent in your comment is unwarranted and frankly makes me doubt your objectivity.

Hi Doug.
It's so wonderful to see the work that you've been doing with the Asian American Cancer Support Network. I lost two aunts to cancer, so I appreciate the work that your organiza.....heeeey....did you just call me a loser?

I'm glad you are all enjoying his time there.

If an outsider opinion is not valid or considered abusive then I suggest you turn off comments and stop being babies.

Doug:
There is no censorship here, and no moderation. Act like an ass, you get considered as one. Nobody cares if you come here, or not. So do yourself a favor and ... don't...

Or, behave.

Who’s Doug Gor?
And who is this Barak guy everyone keeps talking about?

A little strange to do a search on my name and find an entry in someone's blog that I did not make. Yes, I worked at OmniSky and therefore worked with Barak. But I did not make the entries above from 2004. Just wanted to set the record straight.

Thanks a lot for setting the record straight on this. Must be a troll. :-\
