Thanks for hanging out in SL, Joi. It was an interesting event.

As you probably know, the SL community is in somewhat of a chaotic state with the release of a "CopyBot" tool to more easily copy the 3D objects and textures that appear in-world. This is seen, understandably, as a challenge to the folks who run businesses in SL that depend on the uniqueness of their objects and textures they sell. But the outcry in the last days has reached a fever-pitch.

I appreciated very much your bigger picture view that much of the consumption of digital media involves copying to some extent and that businesses can still thrive without DRM-type protection measures on their content.
