I really appreciate the multi-blog and multiple personality popups. I would have been my next suggestion anyway as I regularly post to more than one blog. It would be good to have a preference setting to say which personality belongs to which blog so that I can't choose the wrong personaliy (they might have the same name, but different passwords). Make sure, one can distinguish two personalities with the same name on different servers (include server name in that case or so).

Please think about implementing the URL support like NetNewsWire does. The sliding window allowing explicit entry of URL is much better than just getting the current clipboard which is sometiimes filled with crap. If I want to use the clipboard I can still paste the URL inside anyway.

The Upload File dialog should have a configurable selection of upload folders. I regularly upload files to more than one folder. Also, the "alt" tag should be cleaned for each upload automatically, an option should enforce setting the alt-tag before uploading. Also, it must be much clearer, when a thumbnail is generated and when not.

My one big quibble with KL's current functionality concerns the states of various popups. By default, I want to use "convert line breaks" on and "publish" status. Occasionally, I want to change these for one entry. I'd like for KL to automatically revert to the default when creating a new entry, and remember (and revert to) the states used when editing an existing entry.

There's a similar problem with the tag shortcuts: mod keys are indicated through checkboxes, but if I click on an existing tag shortcut, the checkbox states are not updated to show the real state for that shortcut. This makes the feature much harder to use.

I'm all about Drafts -- I'd love to see KL updated to enable the following w/regard to drafts:
-
First, the ability to save drafts to files (text or RTF or XML). This would provide a nice backup if anything goes wrong so you don't lose posts.
-
Ability to sort drafts by date
-
Ability to categorize drafts according to blog (perhaps with a different drafts drawer for each blog?)

Dream Feature for KL: Notebook

It would be awesome if KL provided a tab or drawer or pop-up window -- anything -- to allow you to write, categorize, file, and save short notes about things you might want to post on, but about which you're not ready to post. See Net News Wire's "notepad" feature, for example. Yes, this may be a little outside of KL's core functionality, but KL is not just a blogging tool, it's a writing tool; bloggers are writers, and writers need to keep notes to develop their ideas. A notepad or notebook feature like this would allow KL to be a sort of one-stop online writing shop.
[Adam] I believe the current version of KL has this: type up an entry and select Draft:Save--the entry is saved to disk locally, not uploaded in draft mode. I'm not sure how it's better to have this and upload-as-draft, but there you are. Oh, well, I've got a full-time connection, and I treat my server space as a slow hard drive--if you've got dialup, I could see how this would be useful.

I'm constantly posting entries without setting the category. I'd like some way to have it remind to set a category before posting.

[Adam] +1!
