Introduction
The goals of this project are to:-
identify and classify online forms of knowledge communities
-
keep track of research methods employed by academics investigating online communities, and the theories that emerge
-
evaluate technologies (social software) that give rise to these communities in terms of past theory
-
use this theoretical insight to identify new uses and commercial opportunities (large and small)
As such, it will be useful to academic researchers looking for an overview of work in this area or a way to publicize their own research, entrepreneurs & venture capitalists looking for the next big idea, and corporate research labs looking for broad trends to capitalize on.
Any helpful contributions are welcome. Please credit yourself alongside your input. Note that I may edit contributions, to keep the wiki useful and orderly. -
