I keep telling people here: "I had better sushi at the train stations in Japan than in some of the more expensive sushi restos here." And they look at me google eyed and aghast.

As for sashimi highlight of my trip: Tokyu Shibuya "Food Show" (food market), little box of fresh cut fish from a fishmonger... Ran out and tried to find a quiet corner in Shibuya and slung it down. So damn good. Worht the dirty looks. ;)

Nothing beats raw fish... nothing.
