and there are surveillence systems inside the duane reade: the idea is that for each perscription a doctor writes, there is a detail record that goes to a pharmacist: the data then is fed into marketing teams that spam docs into changing brands: so if i wrote you a perscription for levoquin, it would be added to my total for that company and i would get some perks: if i perscribed a cheap medicine like penicillin, it would be used agaist me somehow in getting perks: the drug reps take us out to dinner and ask questions and bager us until we are brainwashed into using levoquin: meanwhile, costs are going up and resistant organisms are on the increase.
