Don't forget to wash your hands!


I remember this from first grade. Seriously, whats so interesting? If I have wanted to see things like this, I would watch fear factor.


Joi you still like trying other people's cultures (which is great to see) yet I assume you still hate it when foreigners try to adopt Japanese culture! So why the double standards?


My caption was referring to how much of a fool I looked like trying to eat elegantly with my hands.

I think it is fine to try other cultures. My point in the past was mainly for people to be aware of how it looked. In this case, I am aware I look like a fool.

Superficial mimicry of foreign cultures can often make one look like a fool, but I think that eating with your hands is an experience that is worth doing nonetheless.
IMHO, the way you can feel with your sensitive fingers the texture and temperature of your food adds an element of anticipation and sensual contact that augments the eating experience...
