"Taking", they've pretty much taken it over, just look at the past corporate connections of the Bush administration to arms suppliers, and there is no surprise that they are going to war - best way to use em up so more ones have to bought.
Brings to mind an idea ... in the US, you usually see a politician's name printed like "J Smith (Democrat, San Francisco)" or just "J Smith (D,San Francisco)" maybe instead we should start printing their major employer (oops contributor) instead, e.g. "J Smith (D, Monsanto)"
