Joi Ito's conversation with the living web.

Dave quotes MacArthur and says, "I shall return." I'll use a more modern quote... "I'll be back." Thank you Silicon Valley for getting me buzzed again. I will definitely be back soon. (I'll throw another party too.) In his latest essay, Dave says, "These days the Japanese are our friends. Partners in economic misery. Moore's Law continues to rage, but somehow our economies are stuck. I think I know why, it's because intellectually we have gotten lazy." I'm on my way back to Japan today. I will try to wake everyone up and start a buzz there too.

Lets wake up and move on.

In the past couple of weeks I've heard from many people how charged and renewed they are to get in and start working on new ideas. I think a lot of that has to do with the energy you brought to the valley Joi. You are amazing and inspiring and it is a great joy to know you and watch the stirrings you have created.
safe travels
and come back soon!!!!

Never met you (heck I just found this place a few days ago) but you seem to have recharged a few "batteries" around here to say the least.

Next time you are in town Ill buy you a beer....(too bad the Wagon Wheel closed down.....that was THE place to be in the 1970s/1980s early 90s - hey there is an idea....reopen the Wagon Wheel !! :-0 )

Good luck and safe trip home !

Joi, really enjoy your writing. Inspired me to get off my butt. We're in the same business. Mobile and media. I think we're both mixed as well, and into music. Either way, I'll be in Tokyo this weekend (3/14,15,16) discussing a new recording with Sony in China. Miyakawa said you'll be back by then. Got time for a chat about what's happening in Taiwan and China?

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. ;-) Just arrived in Tokyo and blogging from the car on my 128K PHS wireless USB thingie. I love my Sidekick, but I love wireless on my Mac...

Corbett, send me some email.
