The new Technorati beta is live. It's a redesign of the main site. Congrats to everyone who worked on it. It's much nicer looking and hopefully easier to use than before. We'd love you feedback on it. Thanks!
Lots more about this on Sifry's Alerts.

Cool, but I still don't see why technorati doesn't count Slashdot as a blog. Is there some history between the two that I'm missing?
nice design, ok :-)
Is it known to you when Technorati will combat his own biggest weakness? I know not any single well known service as Technorati which suffers under such a bad perfomance? A brilliant idea, a brilliant concept, but ...
Nice logo. Nice colors. Badly distributed though.
Too much bold. Bad alignments. Actually, no alignments...
The end effect? My eyes don't know where to go:
None of the text elements indicate any kind of emphasis/relationship between heading and list, title and copy, etc.
The combination of alternating layers of light and dark gray and green and the total lack of alignments, makes me feel like I am watching a ball drop on a pachinko board.
As I joltingly flounder to the bottom of the page, I ask myself: "where am I again? what am I supposed to do here?.. oh right... some sort of search..."
So, I suggest:
1- move the search box with the little bullhorn guy up one level.
2- move the "technorati brings you ..." down... all the way down. Below that neato multilayered utility box.
3- keep bolds for titles and headers and navbar elements.
4- clean up the search box. its maverick alignment throws everything else out of whack. I dunno... grab a feng shui book or sumthin'. ;)
Sorry for being so critical. Just doing my job. :)
Boris, send your comment to http://beta.technorati.com/feedback/ instead of this blog.
Hm, apart from a couple of alignement issues and the fact that the chosen font doesn't look all that hot on my WinXP machine I don't really see anything wrong with it. In fact I love it. It describes what it does without over-selling it. Nice work. I'll post this in the feedback as well.
Fully agree w/ Boris.
So the re-designed technorati is still targetting bloggers (in the US) only? I mean if I were just a normal guy and saw TR pages, I'd get bored in 2 seconds.
I don't know why I get a feeling like this but if Blogpulse is a Audi A8, then Technorati is a GMC truck...
