I think it is funny that the poster has a cop saying no.
Police|: "We don't need you guys anymore, we can keep the country safe without you now."
Yak: "Just cause you got control of the Chinese don't mean they won't be back."
so whats with the whiteboy yakuza ? last time i was in kabukicho i didnt notice any white yakuza with pointy fringes (& green suits?)wandering around.
Dont want to seem like a wet blanket, but this does seem to be yet another example of institutionalised racism within the japanese government.
message: foreigners are bad, mkay.. they're roaming the streets in packs, slavering over your wimmen, mkay..
the answer: regime change, please!!!
I'm not sure that's a whiteboy Yakuza... but maybe. I saw another funny poster in a police station that urged people to ban bleaching their hair...
Many of these PSAs in Japan are full of stupid stereotypes and often racism. I agree.
Japanese mobsters could try to improve their public image by having their kids write diet books, just like Frankie Gotti Agnello did...
Looking at the poster again and not being able to read very much Japanese (I can read "Manila" and "men's washroom", both of which serve me well at the airport), one might assume it says "Just say no to cheesy '90's swing bands."
It's does not mean a whiteboy Yakuza.
People who want to give somebody a fright stand out with bleaching their hair, cutting their eyeblow, tattoo , and unconventional suite in Japan.
So we do not imagine these yakuzas is this poster as foreigners.
By the way, a stripe suite is not so common in business in Japan.
Why? I think it is influenced by the uniform code in junior high and high school.
But we love fashion and design.I think it is inconsistency.
